Twilight Princess Glitch Nearly Leads To Wii Murder!

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for the Wii is an amazing game. It is a long game, an adventure that requires 50 hours or more to finish. It is also a game with a glitch that caused me to become stuck almost 40 hours in with no recourse but to restart.

Let me state this plain: I played for almost 40 hours, the game screwed up, and now I have to restart if I want to finish it.

When I first became trapped, I thought I was just stuck, that I needed to solve a puzzle to continue. I resorted to looking online for tips, and that's when I discovered what seems to be becoming a notorious Twilight Princess glitch. Amigos, I will tell you this: DO NOT SAVE IN THE SKY CANNON ROOM! And keep multiple save files.

I was boiling mad for hours when I figured out I had to restart. My Wii is lucky that it is not a heap of broken plastic and electrical components this morning. The honeymoon period is over, Wii.

[UPDATE: 12/12/06 This is for the unlucky gamers who are coming to this post after getting stuck themselves. I just talked to Nintendo about this glitch, and they say there is no trick to get out, and no fix is available. Don't believe tips you might read elsewhere.]

Ah, that's too bad. And that's forty additional hours during which Mrs. C cannot watch TV in the living room. Pobresita.

This is not a prank, cretin. It happened to me this morning. You cannot save in the sky cannon room without getting rid of Shad first.

Yeah, this happened to me a few days ago.....Luckily my friend had a save right after the cannon room and I just picked up from there. THIS CAN REALLY HAPPEN!! Do NOT save until you get the cannon out.

why did so many people want to save in the sky cannon room?

a really cool part in the game, why bother saving.

I hate life. I had to go to work earlier today, so I figured that I was at a good spot to save the game. Now I can't bring myself to go all the way back through the game. Damn the sky cannon room.

yeah, I stayed up WAY late, always saying I'll just do ONE more thing then go to bed so at like 4 I was like, all right, I'll go to the sky city tomorrow and saved in the GD sky cannon room. Big mistake

Also, when your at the part with the Eldin Bridge being destroyed... don't save until you kill all the twilight beasts and enter the twilight realm. Because, you and Epona will restart at the other side of the bridge... and its too big of a gap for Epona to jump across... you will have to restart because you cant get across the bridge into the twilight realm.

In the Temple of Time saving on the weight scale with your minion will cause the minion to disapear on coming back to the game. As I need him to open the main door to progress I'm now SOL and have to restart...I honestly think Nintendo should of put a big bold red statement in the game somewhere do not save your game in any dungon because we honestly dont care that much to make games completly smooth anymore because we have gotten so rich from the Wii..They just don't make em like they use to..Still can't beat the fun factor of Temple of Time in my opinion. Okay rant over...To all of you who are just getting started with this game. It is pretty fun not the best but fun. A word of warning if you start a dungon, finish it. Be on the safe side and just don't save in any of them.

I still don't understand how these save glitches slipped past them while they were testing... :\

Let's hope that team got fired. :P

why kick the testing team. they cant test EVERYTHING about the game unless they triple the team atleast or if we make them wait MUCH longer before releasing them
